VT 201 Course
Our VT 201 course is designed to provide next level training for a vision therapist and the foundational knowledge needed for optometrists to get started in vision therapy. It is the only COVD endorsed course of its kind. Here's what one doctor said about her experience with the course:
"I see many kids in my practice and wanted to implement a vision therapy practice, but I wasn't sure where to begin. I was so fortunate to have found both the 101 and the 201 course by Emergent. I strongly believe that the 201 course is a must for a solid building block. I feel so much more confident at all stages of the vision therapy process. The programming portion of the course is just amazing. I definitely plan on having my therapists take this course as well just as they did with the 101 course."
~Supriya Krishnan, OD
We recommend vision therapists take our 101 course first if they are new. Optometrists should start with the 201 course and then review the 101 course for activities and other basics. The course has over 80 videos with comprehension checks. The course also includes:
- Access to a Certified Optometric Vision Therapist mentor
- A final written exam
- A digital Emergent certificate (if the students receives a passing grade). A print version is available for $10.
The final written exam is multiple choice and must be passed with an 80% passing grade to earn the Emergent Certificate. Students will have 6 months to complete the course from the time of purchase on this site.
The VT 201 course (unlike the 101 course which is only available for individual purchase) can be purchased for an individual or through group pricing. For more information on group pricing please visit the the group pricing page.
Vision Therapists taking the course need to be employed by a doctor of optometry or under their guidance.
